We need to give an update about the last few weeks :-)

After getting at the first July-weekend at the show in Hamburg under judge Hr. Baumann the BIS with our Maggie the Hansa-Union-Race on Sunday was canceled because of to much water on the ground (incidentally a very good decision of the judges). So we drove on the way back just to visit Dandolo. What a joy on both sides: Dandolo was grown up into a great and friendly little guy and he has a loving home -think that he needs this sometimes, laugh-. Some weeks later we had again the opportunity to go to Hamburg. We are happy in Hamburg (unfortunately it is so far away from us) and we landed on time back to the Derby. Annie was supposed to participate at her third race, which she did very well: she won the Int. Derby 2011.

At the second weekend in July, we went with Maggie and SH Cassandra to Paris for the World Dog Show. It was really a huge issue and very much italian Greyhound were registered and at then end har entered. Maggie got an Ex in the open class with 22 starting dogs and Cassandra got an Ex3 in the intermediate class with 14 starting dogs. It was a very nice day with many friends and meetings!

So, now to the last weekend. We had registered Annie for the European Championship and had the fortune that she was accepted in spite of her few experiences. So we went off Friday with the caravan in the direction of Belgium. The racing association in Beringen has a great site and the grass ground was assolutely fabolously, not to mention the whole organization. Both racing days are gone really well, on Saturday was a lot of heat as well as the expiration on Sunday, which started very rainy. No fuss, friendly and helpful people, good food and much more ... it was really nice!

2nd run: Beamish (white), Isis (red), Foetsjie (blue), Atlanta (black)

Sunday was the day of the Whippets and thus was our Annie's turn. We were curious how she`s performing her task. While I paced nervously by her side the rest of the white pepperoni itself was quite and won both of her runs with great times (which were determined to have all of the many fingers crossed from everywhere :-)) We calculated and compared quickyl, and it turned out: SHEcIS IN THE FINALS! I was so nervous that I could not bandage her feet and was so glad that Dunya was there (THANK YOU, Dunja, als for the assistance!). Then we went into the final run under the blue shirt and it was really thrilling. The girls can fight for this plastic lure, it's just beautiful to watch. Annie managed the third place behind Wallflower (2nd) and Bindi (1st) and we are very proud of our girl.

Finals: Bindi (red), Wallflower (white), Atlanta (blue), Kentfield (yellow),
Foetsjie (black), Ici Noir (stripes)

Something I do not want to forget at this point:
THANK YOU!to all finger crossers and many thanks to Maria for the sweet lucky pig, to Annie's "godmother" for the encouraging calls, to Elke for the Germany flag on Annie' back side (Great idea, Uwe). Thank you to all the friends who were there and especially to Dunja for her confidence!

Finn has left his home. The little pirat is now near Luneburg and feels on top of the world with his new family. We are looking forward for new pictures and to hear every week something new about him. So it is not too hard for us to let him go. It seems that he has much fun in racing, so we think we can see him on the race track at Hamburg.

Annie has finished her racing license and is from now on a "really" racing dog. We are very proud about our white Lady and are hoping that she's having a long time fun in racing. How it is to race with 6 other bitches, she made her first experiences at Münsterin a technical run at the FCI-Anniversary-Race. At Saturday before she was ran in a licence run for another bitch with 5 other bitches. Many thanks to Brigitte Friedrich, race director at Münster, who is always aimed to have 6 dogs in a run at at the trainings.

Finally it is warm and so Finn can go outside. First with sweatshirt, but it was nothing for him, so take off and go.

Accompanied by his Mom and obviously with fun he has explored the garden in the last few days. He quickly captured him as a playground and has fun to run around and annoy the rest of the ladies who want to take a sunbath. To sleep, heading into the nest - lovingly cared for by Bine, for example, who e.g. decreases Sissi this afternoon some of her maternal duties. As Finn is a single puppy, we are particularly proud of our non-mothers, Italian Greyhounds also as Wippets. They take care of everyone around him, if it is playing, sleeping, cleaning. He has learned a lot and stays well with everyone.

We have decided to call our Newbe after the old venetian noble dynasty "Dandolo". So we stick to our italian priciples. Dandolo is staying very well: Today morning his weight was about 730 gr.

The ears are slowly opening and he is turning his head after the voice. Now he has only to open his eyes. And then he can say: "Here's looking at you, kid" :-)

With Maggie, Kikki and SH Cassandra we were at the vet last week for testing patella and eyes. Everythin is ok. All of them were free.

Today at 4.45 p.m. a sane and alert young guy was born from our Sissi. Everything was so uncomplicated and Sissi is staying well after the birth. The young man was just born when he was trying to find the well filled milk bar. There wasn't enought time to clean him. As colour the parents has choosen a gold-brown and we must say it becomes him very good..

Now they are lying together and enyoing the calm. We are very proud with this little big man and his mama!!

We have found a good home for him and in 12 weeks he has to move to his new home.
