NEWS 2010

AND now...we have to wait :-)

On 12/11/2010 Wolf and Sissi drove to ha pretty french guy at in Marseillan/France for covering. The weather was beautiful, sunny with a clear blue sky, but a little cold wind. They take several walks on the beach, playing with the sand (you could get jealous, because here it was snowing all the time); they liked France very much. The young guy is called Alfa Leromeo and he lived up to his name. Sissi liked him very much and all went good with the coverage. On 12/15 they drove back to Germany. Now we hope to get little lovely french puppies in our D-Litter. In the midth of January we know more. Thanks ultrasonic :-)

The end of season this year was made of three acts :-)

The last race this year happend in Sachsenheim. After starting very cold in the morning, we've had luck and the sun came out. Our two Ladies Fay and Sissi started to run against two boys. Fay was successful and Sissi, yeah, she is a "real" racing dog: she got a dis. Sh.. happens :-) Fay won the two runs and also in connection with the show on the day before the Price for Beauty & Performance!!

The last show this year happend in Stuttgart. We, Maggie and I, were there with friends and their pack :-) Maggie has had fun and was able to convince the judge, Mrs. Rauhfelder, and got the BOB and the CACIL from her. So we have to start again in the BIG-competition. Also here Maggie was very successful: She was 2.BIG and we are very proud about this little Lady!!

The last training session was yesterday in Oberhausen. We have decided to let our Annie run on the race track before winter starts and she can go into the winter pause with this experiences. What makes a good racing dog? She went into the startbox and there she goes! I was very astonished how uncomplicated all this happend. The second run was much more better and Annie has had much fun. After the first run the lure was something bad smelling, after the second run I was lucky that she was wearing a muzzle.

Satisfied we drove home. Now we are pausing und looking forward to next year:-)

09/05/2010 was D-Day. On this day all the trouble, sorrows and work of Lutz and Brigitte were gone. Amy won the crown at this day. She's now the Racing World Champion of the Whippet females and won at Rapapatona\Hungaria against more than 40 Whippet females. It's unbelievable for us.

Congratulations to Amy, Lutz und Brigitte, she drove hundreds of kilometer for letting her race.

Congratulations also to the other females in the final!! We are glad to see, that in this final 5 German females compete together. It shows that our racing females know how to race :-).

We are also glad that our SH Cassiopeia now is officially Youth Champion.

We've had a succesful weekend at the Verbandssieger at Cologne. First Cassiopeia was at the show Verbandsjugendsieger and on the other side Amy at the race made the second place. Until the home straight she was in front (see below) and was not till then from Wallflower passed with an fulminant finish. Great athletes, it was great to see. Congratulations to both females and their family.

Here you see the first run of the Sprinter Class Italien Greyhounds at Cologne. Garouche and Lucius were running with pleasure over the good prepared gras track and gave the starting shot for the sprinter class. We know, that there are some "big sized" italian Greyhound in Germany and abroad to com to the races. We are looking forward to see them run!

Also the sprinter class of the Italian Greyhounds has fun for racing. It doen't matter if on grass or on sand tracks. You see Lucius and Garouche here at Münster.

A great visit at Münster !!!

From Finland arrived Lyyti (Winsome Yankees Apache) with here family. It was a great pleasure to know them, who are speaking an excellent english. With their son, another Whippet an two wonderful Salukis they are goint from Münster to Belgium an to France to attend at the EC in France. After this they need 7 days to return to Finland, what a long journey. But next year they want to come again to Münster :-) We hope to meet them again!!

By the way I showed Annie in the puppy class. What can I say? Well, I think Annie looked too much Swan Lake :-))) Because of bouncing a placement was impossible, but we've had much fun *laugh*

SH Amy ran the preliminaries under red on her house track. The girl made three great runs and in the final she made the secon place. Also Ares made a great race and the second place in the B-Class Final. Congratulations on Princess Amy and Ares and to their families!!!

Well, there is just this photo that shot Wolf at Münster and that was fascinating me so much from the first time I've seen it that I want to blow it out and put it on my walls. What should I say? The dog is a Whippet male; I'm calling him Tiger, his mother calls him Silas and he is Annie's father. We are lucky :-))))))

On 05/22/2010 we were at Tuettleben for the show. The Italian Greyhounds were judged by Mrs. Pindera (PL). Our Hannah got an ex1 and her second Veteran-CAC. Unfortunately she couldn't participate, because she took a misstep and started hobbling.
Maggie was shown in the intermediate class and won the BOB. At the BIS-judgement she made the 3rd place.
SH Cassiopeia got a vp1 in the junior class and was BIS with judge Mr. Kuszyk (PL).
We were very happy about this success. :-)

On 05/06/2010 SH Cassandra got at Huestetten in the junior class a vp1. Sissi and Maggie got both an ex1.

At the race on Sunday were Fay and Sissi. So 5 Dark Legend's were ready to start the race. The 5 showed us two wonderful runs. To our surprise both were won by Fay. Unfortunately it was also the Farewell-race for DL Unicorn at Huenstetten.

After a long time we have some news about us and our dogs.

On 04/10/2010 we were at the show in Schwarzenfeld. Judge was Mr. Blueml from Austria. Surprise: Our SH Cassandra got a vp1 and our SH Cassiopeia a vp2. Caeles Make My Day was best bitsch and Landessieger Nordbayern 2010. In her first show in the intermediate class she got her first CAC. The biggest surprise wasthat we have met SH Bugatti Royale and SH Chiara. Without an appointment. We were so glad and have made pictures.

On 04/17/2010 we were at the show in Sachsenheim. Judge was Mrs. Heine (D). In the puppy class the same procedure as last week: SH Cassandra vp1, SH Cassiopeia vp2. Caeles Make My Day won from the intermediate class against open and champion class and got her secon CAC in her second show. She also was best bitch and BOB.

The following week we were at the show and the race in Oberhausen. We showed Caeles Make My Day in the intermediate and DL Vitesse in the champion class. Maggie got in her third show her third CAC and won against Py's Hestia. Afte we have seen the Py's female it was a big surprise for us. Sissi got best bitch.

The next day was the race. There were Manon Feritte Bugsy, DL Morgaine le Fay and DL Vitesse. this was also the order in the finals. Many thanks at Dasa for commin gfrom Munich to the race. We have had much fun together. Nearby: Sissi won with the show beauty + performance and the blue blanket.

On 05/09/2010 we were in Dortmund at the European Champion Show. Judge was Mrs. Janzon (S) and with 21 Italian Greyhounds. After only the male veteran has got a ex1 we thought the worst things. Our SH Cassiopeia got a vp1 in the puppy class. Maggie startet in the intermediate class ... ... and got a ex1! After the desaster with the males an exellent result. The judgements of both dogs are very good. But we have no CAC, Res.-CAC or title for Maggie. Tje judge thought that Maggie is to young for the title. But what matches the age with the title?

... and she's growing, yes, she's eating very well, playing in the garden if there is snow, rain or sunshine. Annie is like Kikki and Jule a real sunshine and sometimes we have to laugh about their nonsense. Kiki and Jule don't hear very well at the moment, but for their age this is normal, Annie instead hears very well but this lady also is growing older :-))

On the site with the pictures of our C-Litter we have some new pictures of the puppies who are now 5 months old. They are growing and looking very well, they have wonderful colours and their families are happy with them. We are very proud of them!!

Surprise. In a few days we will have a new member for our Whippet-pack: Winsome Yankees "Annie" Atlanta. We love that canadian blood and have applied very early for a female from Dunja. We are very happy to get Annie from her.

Our C-Litter is now leaving home. Only Carlo and July are staying with us at the moment. Carlo will leave us in the next few days to his new owner at the Moselle. Chiara has her home in the Bavarian Forest and Tamino is at Berlin. We hope to see some of them this year.

We have decided to handle our homepage in German and in English. For the translation we need a little bit of time (which we do not have), so it will take time to finish it. We are sorry if there are some mistakes in the english version.
